1.1 Junyun Limited is responsible for personal information processed in connection with the Service. Contact us about privacy or rights requests at support@translatebuff.com.

1.2 This Policy covers the products and website above. Browser stores, payment channels, translation engines and other independent third-party services are subject to their own policies. We explain what we disclose to them; this Policy does not replace their privacy notices.

2.1 Account and subscriptions: When you sign in with Google, we receive the email address and unique account identifier needed to identify your account, not your Google password. For a purchase, we record the order number, plan, price, currency, time, payment status and necessary reconciliation identifiers to enable benefits and manage renewal and refunds. Payment channels process full card details and security codes; we neither receive nor store them.

2.2 Translation content: When you request a translation, we process the submitted text and resulting translation and pass necessary input to the translation engine or model provider used for that request. Text from web pages, selections and input fields, and material you choose to translate in a desktop gaming scenario, may form part of a request. Do not submit another person’s information, confidential material or sensitive data unnecessarily or without authorisation; consider redaction first.

2.3 Usage and security: To operate the Service, troubleshoot and prevent abuse, we process access times, IP addresses, request paths, response status and error information. IP addresses may also help determine regional service availability. If you contact support, we handle your email, correspondence and necessary order details to respond and resolve your issue.

2.4 Preferences and feedback: The website uses cookies needed to maintain sign-in and remember your interface language; a visit via a promotional link may store a referral identifier. If you voluntarily complete an uninstall survey, we handle your selected reasons and free-text feedback to compile product-improvement statistics. Please do not enter personal information in a free-text field unless you want us to process it.

3.1 We use this information to establish and maintain accounts, deliver translation, distinguish free from paid access, measure allowances, process payments and refunds, answer requests, keep the Service secure, diagnose errors, measure campaign referrals and comply with applicable law. We do not sell your personal information or build advertising profiles from your cross-site behaviour.

3.2 Where EU/EEA or UK data protection law applies, depending on the activity we rely on performance of a contract (accounts, translation, subscriptions), legitimate interests (security, troubleshooting and improvement, balanced against your rights), compliance with a legal obligation (including tax and lawful requests), or your consent (non-essential technologies or other processing requiring consent). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing before withdrawal. Declining processing essential to a requested translation may make that function unavailable.

4.1 To produce a translation, we send the necessary input to the machine translation engine or third-party AI model provider handling that request. Providers may handle submissions under their own policies, including policies on model training. We cannot guarantee that every third party refrains from using input to train models. Assess this before submitting sensitive material. We do not sell translation content for unrelated purposes.

4.2 Payment channels, including currently available Stripe, PayPal or a channel shown at checkout, process order and payment information needed for transactions; their policies govern the payment information they handle independently. Hosting, storage, email and other necessary technology providers may handle account information, logs or support correspondence on our behalf only as needed to supply their services.

4.3 We may disclose or transfer necessary information in response to applicable law, valid judicial or regulatory demands, or a merger, acquisition or asset transfer, with notices and safeguards required by law. We will notify you as required if recipients or processing purposes materially change.

5.1 The extension needs to access and modify the page you are using to translate it. Selected text, input-field translation and video subtitles are handled when required by their respective features. The extension keeps settings and login state locally in the browser. We do not collect complete browsing history, password-field input or payment-card numbers from web pages for the purpose of translation. The Windows client may read screen text needed when you trigger translation in a gaming scenario; see the permissions displayed by your installed version.

5.2 The website uses a cookie to maintain sign-in (currently 30 days), a cookie to remember interface language, and an `aitrans_cid` cookie to measure campaign referrals (currently 30 days). The first two support basic functions; referral measurement is not needed for translation. We do not use advertising or third-party behavioural-analytics cookies. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser; blocking necessary cookies can impair sign-in and saved preferences. Where law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will obtain the required choice before setting them. The separate `aitrans_install_promo` cookie stores an approved promotion ID and its recording time for up to 30 days so a new extension installation can check its source.

6.1 We retain account information while an account is in use. After closure we delete or de-identify it as required by applicable law, except order and transaction records that must legally be retained. Translation content is processed only to fulfil a request; we do not keep submitted input as a long-term account record. Independent providers’ retention practices may differ. Logs, support records and other information are retained only as long as needed for their purposes or required by law. The current lifetime of `aitrans_cid` appears in 5.2. See Section 7 to request deletion.

6.2 We use measures such as encryption in transit, access controls and restricted access to protect information. No internet service is absolutely secure. If a data-security incident occurs, we will take remedial measures and notify affected people and regulators as required by applicable law.

6.3 To deliver services across regions, your information may be processed outside your country or region by us and translation, payment or infrastructure providers. Where specific requirements govern international transfers, we will meet the applicable notice, safeguards and other legal obligations before transferring. Contact us using the email in Section 9 for information about recipients, processing locations and safeguards relevant to you.

7.1 Subject to the law applicable where you live, you may have rights to access, obtain a copy of, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of, or transfer your information, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to a competent data protection authority. Scope and exceptions depend on applicable law.

7.2 Email support@translatebuff.com to exercise these rights or request account closure. We may verify your identity to protect your information and will respond within the time required by applicable law. The current website does not offer self-service account closure. Closing an account ends account-dependent features; unused subscription benefits are handled under the refunds and mandatory consumer rights provisions in the Terms. Closure does not automatically erase transaction records we must retain by law.

8.1 The Service is primarily for adults and is not directed at children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied information without required consent should contact us so we can investigate and delete it as required by law. Higher local age thresholds or parental-consent rules apply where required.

8.2 Translation results are generated by automated engines. We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing, and we do not profile personal information for targeted advertising.

8.3 We may update this Policy and display the updated date on the website. We will give notice by website, product or email as required by applicable law when purposes, categories or recipients materially change, and obtain consent separately when required.

8.4 If the Chinese and English versions conflict in interpretation, the English version prevails. This does not restrict rights to a local-language notice or other mandatory information under applicable law.
